Lima - Lee

BREEDING HISTORY AND DESCRIPTION

Lee is a single plant selection from a biparental bulk population of I453 x I435 in F10. Both parents are experimental lines. I453 is a single plant from a bulk population of “Ventura” x “Mackie”.  I435 is a sister selection of Mackie.  The bulk population was synthesized from about 2000 F2 plants.

Lee is a large white seed coated indeterminant plant-type and matures in about 120 days.

ADAPTATION

Lee is well adapted to grow in the west side of Stanislaus County, California.

 SEED CLASSES AND PRODUCTION

Seed classes will be Foundation, Registered, and Certified. Registered seed will be grown from Foundation seed and Certified seed will be grown from Registered seed.
